“I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” – Philemon 1:4-6
LIGHT FOR NOW: Your realities in Christ can not be explored and enjoyed outside knowledge. The knowledge of Christ is of paramount importance to the utilization of your realities.
Your realities in Christ can not be utilized outside the knowledge of those realities. It will take a realization of who you are in Christ for there to be a utilization of that reality. This still boils down to knowledge. Knowledge is the primary and basic need of every believer upon salvation. There is no growth in salvation without growth in knowledge. In fact, there is no spiritual growth without growth in knowledge. There is no spiritual growth outside the knowledge of Christ.
• Growth in Christ is growth in knowledge.
• Growth in the spirit is growth in knowledge.
• Growth in salvation is growth in knowledge.
• Growth in the Christian faith is growth in knowledge.
Note: Your effectiveness in the Christian faith will be in knowledge. We are justified by faith, the faith of Christ. Salvation through faith is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast”. The church is the household of faith; that s, everyone in that household is of faith. Galatians 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith”. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is termed the word (message) of faith. Romans 10:8-10 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. You can’t downplay the essence of knowledge in the life of a believer. Knowledge is vital in the Christian faith. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Place premium on knowledge.
CONFESSION: The knowledge of Christ drives me even as I thrive to know more of Him, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
QUOTE: It will take a realization of who you are in Christ for there to be a utilization of that reality.
