GOD’S EVERLASTING LOVE (4)

“What shall we say these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea, rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”– Romans 8:31-39

LIGHT FOR NOW: At salvation, Christ’s work is the center of our confession.

In verse of Hebrews 10, the writer says, “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified”. His forgiveness was never based on confession of sins; rather it was received by our confession of Christ work. All through the apostolic writings, the work of Christ remained the mainstay of our confession. Hebrews 3:1 “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus”. Hebrews 4:14 “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession”. Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)”. Philippians 2:11 “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”.

“Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God” (1John 4:15). So, the confession is Christ’s work, and this is seen in the scriptures. Romans 10:9-11 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture said, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed”.It is by the confession of Christ that one becomes a beneficiary of Christ’s work. Glory!

INSTRUCTION:Salvation when received makes you a beneficiary of Christ’s work, acknowledge this.

CONFESSION:I believe in Christ, therefore, I am a beneficiary of all that came with redemption, in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: Our confession at salvation is not the wrongs we did but the right Jesus did which is his substitutionary sacrifice.
