“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching hereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”– Ephesians 6:18
LIGHT FOR NOW:Tongues is spirit to spirit interface; as it is your hotline with God.
Another benefit of praying in tongues is: Praying in tongues is a direct line to God. Observe 1Corinthians 14:2“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries”. Observe the way the Passion Translation and the Amplified Bible put it: “For one who speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks not to men but to God, for no one understands or catches his meaning; because in the [Holy] Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things [not obvious to the understanding]” (AMPC). “When someone speaks in tongues, no one understands a word he says, because he’s not speaking to people, but to God – he is speaking intimate mysteries in the Spirit” (TPT).
Tongues are your hotline to God. Literally, millions of people would love to have an audience with God. There are people all over the world doing all kinds of crazy things to get their God to hear them. Some are piercing their bodies, and the others are offering all kinds of sacrifices, but Paul reveals to us a direct line to the Almighty. People of all religions know that when we get an audience with God, miracles happen, miracles flow. We have access to God by his spirit, and we communicate to God in tongues – it is a spirit to spirit interface. The word says “no one understandeth him…” (1Corinthians 14:2). This means, even Satan does not understand you when you pray in the spirit. He knows what you are doing but he cannot understand what you are saying. He is helpless to sabotage your prayer. Glory!
