“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching hereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”– Ephesians 6:18
LIGHT FOR NOW: We are citizens of heaven from the new birth, with a heavenly language called tongues.
A crucial benefit of praying in tongues is that tongues are the entrance into the supernatural. As long as Satan can keep you away from tongues, he can keep you away from the miraculous. 1Corinthians 14:2 “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries”. Notice the words, “howbeit in the spirit” (1Corinthians 14:2). When you pray in tongues, you are automatically in the spirit. Paul was stating that God is in the spirit, and when we pray in the spirit (in tongues), we are in the spirit where God dwells. In other words, when you start praying in tongues, you are entering God’s miracle zone. God found it fit that the supernatural world can’t be accessed with a natural language; hence, he gave you a supernatural language called tongues.
You can’t assess the spirit world with a natural language but a spirit language. Hence, praying in tongues which is praying in the spirit is a direct access into the spirit world. Every believer is a citizen of heaven; we have a heavenly nationality at new birth. As citizens of heaven, we have a language that identifies our nationality. Our heavenly language as citizens of heaven is tongues; tongues are our heavenly language. So, praying in tongues is a direct entrance into the immaterial world; the spirit world; the supernatural and the heavenly. The demonic world has an entrance, it is words; words that the human mind cannot discern. How much more we that have the supernatural because the supernatural is for the believer; we have a language that puts us in a realm higher than demons and devils. That is why when we pray in tongues, Satan is helpless. Glory!
INSTRUCTION:Pray in the spirit as a man of the spirit.
CONFESSION:Now more than ever, I pray in the spirit, in Jesus name, Amen.
QUOTE: Tongues is the believers’ supernatural language.
