JUST AS HE IS, WE ARE! (19)

“Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed”Isaiah 53:1-5

LIGHT FOR NOW: The word of God is a living, moving and walking reality.

The chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripe we are healed. That is a beautiful truth. He was bruised and puts in our account the result of his punishment. That means what we have in our account is not the bruises or the punishment. What we have is the result of his bruises and his chastisement which was done for us. The Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. When I come before justice, he bore my iniquities. I come without any wrongdoing. He hath taken my sins. I have no sins. He took my sins and gave it to him. That means that before God I have no sin. We have to understand the truth. God took the sin and put it on Jesus. That is why Paul will call you a new creation.

He has laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all. Jesus was united with our sufferings. Jesus became one with our sins. He laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all. Paul did say in 2Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”. The word “to be” is in italics. The translators were scared of the truth that it put forth so that they had to introduce those words; “For he made him sin for us, who knew no sin”. Jesus was made sin for us. This is so that we might be made the righteousness of God.Glory!
