“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. – Romans 10:8-10
LIGHT FOR NOW: Words rule your world
Today, we bring to your notice that words are spiritual entities; angels and demons respond to words. Psalm 103:20 “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” In other translation of the bible, you will read words like obey, listen, and quick to hear and do what you say. This means that we should be careful of what we say with our mouths. Solomon in Proverbs 18:21 has this to say “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. In the last text, it has been established that our words have power over life and death, not God’s word. This can help solve the confusion in the minds of many that do not speak but out of ignorance, blame God for their misfortunes not knowing that in life, it is not God’s word that come to pass; but it is God’s power at work in our inside that brings what we say to pass.
Another instance to confirm that words are spiritual entities is found in Daniel 10:12 which says “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.” This is a confirmation that angels and demons are standby to obey our words. So when you speak words, be careful of what you say because even words that you say in error can affect your life because it brings results. We can see this in Ecclesiastes 5:6 which says “Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?” You are a product of what you say; always speak faith-filled words as a believer and watch situations works in your favor.
