LIGHT FOR NOW: You are in Christ
The subject matter of salvation is centered on the person of Jesus. Scripture gives evidence about our salvation in Christ (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The scriptures are a testimony of Christ. John 5:39 says, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me”. Every doctrine, teaching, belief, and opinion on the subject of salvation must have their basis from the truth revealed in the scriptures. Believers in Christ are therefore not expected to live their lives on assumptions, feelings, or hearsay, but on the precise and accurate knowledge of Christ.
The believer shouldn’t be found drawing conclusions based on assumptions, no! Accurate knowledge of God’s word is a must for you as a believer. This is the only way upon which you can effectively harness your salvation and live in the fullness of the price that Jesus paid for.. Glory!
