LIGHT FOR NOW: You must first know your realities in Christ if you must walk in the benefits of those realities.
It is very crucial in the Faith Walk or the Christian walk for the believer to come to the place of adequate knowledge and appreciation of the leading of the spirit.
Most believers have not come to a place of knowing that the leading of the spirit is a reality they have in salvation or redemption. So, ignorance of this reality has made so many believers deficient in the Christian walk rather than being efficient in the Christian walk.
This is so because it is the ignorance of this reality that makes so many believers submit or make statements like:
• I am so confused; I don’t know what to do.
• I took the wrong direction, and it ended me here; I just don’t have direction, etc.
Thus, our study is to shed light on the concept of the leading of the spirit with the view or aim of equipping us all to live in the reality of the same.
Truth must be said:
• Man needs leading
• Man needs direction
• Man needs guidance
There is one bad dilemma one might find himself or herself in; it is the dilemma of wanting to arrive at the right destination using the wrong direction.
You can not arrive at the right destination using the wrong direction. If you miss it at the right direction, you can end up at the wrong destination in life. If direction is this important in the natural, how much more in the Christian faith?
Direction is a crucial part of human existence. Most times, we are in the position where we will need to make decisions that will encapsulate or include the work of ministry, choice of spouse, change of location, work or business, local church, choice of educational pursuit and different areas of our lives.
The importance attached to decision-making underscores the reason why the believer must properly understand that he is led by the spirit and how he can follow that leading. Notice that two facts have to be appreciated in this study:
• The fact that you have the leading of the spirit or you’re led by the spirit.
• Following the leading of the spirit.
Note: The leading of the spirit is a reality you have in Christ. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Place premium or right knowledge.
CONFESSION: I walk in my realities in Christ, and I live the higher life in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
QUOTE: Taking the wrong direction to arrive at the right destination is a wrong decision that will end you at the wrong destination.
