“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. – Romans 10:8-10
LIGHT FOR NOW: Let God’s word dominate your thoughts and it will definitely dominate your words.
Words dominate our thoughts and form behaviors. There is nothing on your mind that is not word. Either they are words spoken to you or spoken by you. Every human behavior starts with words. Joshua 1:8 says “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it”. For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success. The book of the law here refers to the writings of Moses.
“Meditate” there is no meditation without speaking. So meditation is formed from speaking. Paul also says in 1Timothy 4:15-16 “Meditate upon These things, give thyself wholly to them, that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine, continue in them, for in doing this thou shall both save thyself and them that hear thee”. Man’s behavior comes from what he thinks or his meditation and this in turn is as a result of what people says to him. So as believers, if you will have need to Meditate, do so in the place of knowledge. Glory!
