“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. – Romans 10:8-10
LIGHT FOR NOW: The arena of faith is the arena of possibilities.
In today’s study, we will breakdown the laws of faith as recorded in the scriptures. Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith a person cannot please God”. What this verse means is that nothing can be received from God without Faith. In order to receive from God, you ought to believe God’s word without any iota of doubt. The second Law can be seen in Mark 11:23 “Jesus said, whatever you desire, when you pray expect that you will receive it and you will get it”. Believers must completely believe that what they request from God has already been made available, even when the circumstances surrounding them say otherwise.
Romans 10:17 says “Faith comes by hearing God’s word in your ear”. This is another important law of faith. The amount of God’s words a man hears is what develops faith in the heart of man. Another law of faith is visible in Hebrews 10:23 “God is faithful to what he has promised”. You must believe that God’s word can never be a lie. There is absolutely nothing like failure to receive from God when the law of faith is met, no matter what the situation looks like. Furthermore, 2Corinthians 5:7 reads “For we walk by faith not by sight”. A believer’s foundation of faith must be based on what God has spoken in his word not what you see or feel or experience or even the experiences of others. God’s words written in the Holy Bible should be the believers’ guide. Glory!
