“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. – Romans 10:8-10
LIGHT FOR NOW: The law of faith applies to salvation; outside faith in Christ, a man can’t be saved.
The word “Law of faith” also called “principles of faith” is defined as the established and consistent rule which states that whenever a promise is met with faith, it releases the supernatural power within it. This simply means that whenever God’s promises meet with the faith in a believer’s heart, miracles are bound to happen. When the promise (the seed – Jesus Christ) came to earth as man and died upon the cross and was raised on the third day, he made the promise of salvation available; and now any man who believes this therefore, freely receives the salvation which Christ offers. This is visible in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. This bible verse clearly indicates that all what is needed for a man to be saved is to just believe and this is embedded in faith.
Though salvation has been made available by the Saviour for the whole humanity, faith in the Saviour is what will get the unsaved saved. The law of faith does apply in the salvation of mankind. Little wonder Paul says this in Ephesians 2:8: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God”. Glory!
