THE LAW OF FAITH (4)

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. – Romans 10:8-10

LIGHT FOR NOW: Learn to take God at his word.

The word “evidence” is a legal term that denotes words like “proof or title”. Faith business is Gods business of doing things. Some Christians ask questions like, “How can faith be my evidence when I cant see any change taking plan?” Actually, faith can be seen; that is, seen as or in its manifestation and not seen as a word “faith”. When we open the bible and study Gods words, we are fixing our eyes on faith. Believers should take God at His words. The proof that our prayers are answered is found in the pages of the bible. When the circumstances surrounding you is contrary to Gods word for your life, what do you do? Who do you believe? Gods word or the circumstances before you? Faith is simply agreeing with Gods word, which is then he shouldn’t grumble, have doubts in his heart when things dont go the way he planned. A significant idea about faith which every man or believer ought to know is that faith is not self-produced, it is a gift from God and this gift is given or supplied to us (believers) at salvation, then we grow in this (that is, in faith) as we sit under the right tutelage. In essence, growing in faith is growing in the knowledge of God’s word. This is evident in Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God – not the result of works, so that no one may boast”. So, even the faith which we have comes first as God`s gift to us. Glory!
