“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. – Romans 10:8-10
LIGHT FOR NOW: Your words are proofs whether you are in doubt or faith.
When faith is being discussed, words or the way you speak can not be overemphasized. Why is this so? This is because your speaking exposes or reveals whether you are in faith or in the opposite of it, which is fear or doubt. The law of faith works with the general law of words, which states that “You shall have whatever you say”. Just like our key text above reveals that a man confesses with his mouth the Lord Jesus and that confession brings salvation. So, the law of faith also applies in salvation; hence, this law is a spiritual law. You can’t be in faith, and you are not speaking.
Observe what Hebrews 11:3 says “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear”. If God is a faith God and He created the world by exercising His faith, then according to Hebrews 11:3, the faith which He released was the word of God.
The substance of faith is God’s words, and those words are filled with spiritual life. Jesus speaking in John 6:63 said “The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life”. Faith is not visible, nor is it words, but faith takes words and releases them into the atmosphere to create reality in our lives. Simply put, faith is God`s words in action. Glory!
