“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places” – Ephesians 1:16-20
LIGHT FOR NOW: The authority of the believer must be comprehended for him to walk in the reality of that authority.
God gave man authority and that must be fully understood before we are able to live and fulfill the will and purpose of God in the earth. On this note, the writer of Genesis who is Moses has this to say: Genesis 1:26-28 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.
This is the mind of God as it pertains to the things on the earth; His blueprint concerning all creation. God gave man authority over all the works of his hands. Man therefore determines what happens here on the earth. God gave man authority to direct all course of things on earth. When God gave man authority over all creations on earth, He did not include himself in that dominion of the earth. He said “…and let them have dominion…” He stepped out of the dominion of the earth. That was the wisdom and plan of God for man. Man was to run things on earth through prayer. He was to commune with God as he exercises dominion on earth. Prayer directs things on earth; it puts things in their right path and right place. Glory!
