“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places” – Ephesians 1:16-20
LIGHT FOR NOW: All that makes God, God or all of God in its totality is in the believer at the point of the New Birth.
It is an established fact in this studies so far that we were not half saved in the new birth; we are complete in Christ, the head of all principalities and powers. This is what Paul alludes to in Colossians 2:9-10 “For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the head of every kingdom and authority in the universe”(TPT). The Amplified Translation of Colossians 2:9-10 elucidates further, it reads “For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power]” (AMPC).
So, the believer carries the totality of deity – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit indwells the believer. Imagine the stuff you are made of. All deity dwells in your humanity, and you are thinking of God saying “wait…go through this misfortune before I answer your prayers”, error! Look at who you have in you:
- God the Father
- God the Son
- God the Holy Spirit
The believer carries the fullness of deity on his inside, why should he be thinking of unanswered prayers or the answer to his prayers falling from the sky? When you walk, you walk with backing. When you talk, you talk with backing. When you pray, you pray with backing. It is the backing of the Godhead – the father, the son and the Holy Spirit is in you. Glory!
