“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places” – Ephesians 1:16-20
LIGHT FOR NOW: In the place of prayer, the power of God in the believer is made available or put to work to change and rearrange things for his favour.
It has been established in previous studies that the power that brings answers to prayers is in the believer. Thus, prayer power is prayer answer. The answer to your prayer doesn’t fall from the sky; the answer is within because the power that brings the answers is within you. The Passion Translation (TPT) of Ephesians 3:20 says “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you”. When you pray, do you know what happens? The prayer powers the answers within. What is that unbelievable dream in your life? Where have you applied principles and they have failed, and you are now in need of an intervention of the miraculous?
Right within you is that power to cause that miraculous intervention. Right within you is that power that can suspend natural laws. There is power at work in you to put things in their right places; for things to work for you or for your favour. You have that power; just make it available in the place of prayer. Prayer is putting God’s power in you to work. Prayer is making the power of God available. For you to make the power available, it thus means that you have the power; you own the power; you possess the power. You cannot make available what you don’t have. That is, why Apostle James says in James 5:16 “…the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much, it maketh tremendous power available that is dynamic in its working”. So, prayer is making power available. If you are not praying as a believer, you are not making power available. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Make power available in the place of prayer.
CONFESSION: I change and rearrange things I don’t like around me as I put God’s power to work in prayers, in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: Prayer is making power available.
