“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places” – Ephesians 1:16-20
LIGHT FOR NOW: When a believer opens his mouth in prayers, it is from a place of potency, ability and strength.
All the fullness of the Father dwells in Christ. On this note, Paul has this to say in: Colossians 1:19 “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell”. Colossians 2:9-10 “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him which is the head of all principality and power”. So, the fullness of the Father or the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Christ who is the head of all principality and power. The word “fulness” in the above scriptures was translated from the Greek word “pleroma” which refers to maximum load. All the maximum load of God or the Godhead dwells in Christ. Now in verse 27 of Colossians 1, Paul now shows as that Christ is in us. In essence, the one who carries the maximum load of God who is the head of principality and powers now lives in us. So, the believer is the one that carries the one (Jesus) that carries the maximum load of God.
And it’s not just that Christ is in you (Colossians 1:27), you are equally in him; that’s why Paul in Colossians 2:9-10 says “you are complete in him”. So, we are in him, and he is in us. We are in the one that carries the maximum load of God and the one that carries the maximum load of God lives in us. Meaning we have been fixed into each other; he in us, us in him! When you understand this, you will know that when you open your mouth in prayers, then it’s from a place of potency. You can’t carry God’s maximum load and be thinking of unanswered prayers. When you open your mouth in prayers with an understanding of this reality, you pray answers. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: You pray from a place of potency, acknowledge this.
CONFESSION: I acknowledge that when I open my mouth in prayers; I pray from a place of potency, in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: The believer is in the one that carries the maximum load of God and the one that carries the maximum load of God is in the believer.
