LIGHT FOR NOW: Maintain the consistent, diligent and constant prayer lifestyle as a believer.
The gathering of the believers is important. The essence of that gathering is for us to edify one another. 1Corinthians 14:26 “How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying”. To edify means to build up, strengthen and make effective. Therefore, everyone (believers) has what it takes to build one another. When we gather as believers, the essence is for us to edify one another. Ephesians 4:11-12 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”. The essence of the ministry gift is for the edifying of the body of Christ. We then pray for the ministers for utterance and boldness (Ephesians 6:19; Colossians 4:3-4; Acts 2:49).
We also pray for those responsible for handling other natural aspects of the service. This may include the protocols, ushering, operations team, etc. James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him”. We pray for wisdom for them. 1Corinthians 14:40 “Let all things be done decently and in order”. We pray for the participants of the meeting, for insight into God’s word to the end that they are edified (Ephesians 1:17-23; Ephesians 3:14-20; Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:9-11; Philemon 6). Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Stop singing prayer is the key and just stopping there, start using the key. That is, pray!
