“And hath raised us together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” – Ephesians 2:6
LIGHT FOR NOW: You are wherever Christ is.
In addition to being made alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:5), God has “raised us up with him”. We are now alive through the same power that brought Jesus back from the dead. We are seated now where Christ is seated; that is, in the heavenly (that’s where we are seated; it is not in the future, it is our reality now). Paul teaches elsewhere that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. First, John 5:13 add that God wants believers to know – to be confident – that we have eternal life. Paul repeatedly emphasizes that salvation is accomplished on the basis of grace, through faith. Good works, human effort, and our best intentions will never be enough to earn salvation. Only through His mercy and grace can we be saved, leaving no room for bragging. This also means that all who are saved, Jews and Gentiles alike, are part of the same spiritual family. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: You are saved by grace and grace alone.
CONFESSION: Father, I thank you because I know that your grace is sufficient for me, in Jesus name – Amen.
QUOTE: The believer and Christ are intertwined into each other and thus he is seated where Christ is seated now.
