“Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow” – 1Peter 1:10-11
LIGHT FOR NOW: Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is a believer’s pathway to living the higher life.
John 16:33 says “These things i have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”. These words uttered by Jesus are powerful and lifting. Jesus lived the higher life. This can be seen in the statement “I have overcome the world”. Even when Jesus walked the earth in human form, He never conformed to the gross darkness he saw in the earth; rather He eliminated such darkness with His light. Though he walked the earth, he lived in another realm entirely. This was possible because his mindset was peculiar. According to the scriptures, believers are like him.
1 John 4:17 says, “As he is, so are we in this world”. We are, therefore, to live the better life in total dominion over the world and the systems it is made up of. Believers have been made triumphant in him, so it is our place to walk the earth like conquerors that we are in him. Glory!
