LIGHT FOR NOW: The gospel is for all.
In our today’s study, we will consider why the gospel is called the goodnews. The gospel is called the goodnews because it is for all. It isn’t a message for a particular group of people or for believers rather, it is for all nations, tribes, cultures and people.
The gospel is goodnews because it contains the wonderful message of God’s redemption of the sinful man through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The gospel is goodnews because to all who did receive him and believe in his name, he gave the right to be his sons.
The gospel is goodnews because we find God’s divine promise of forgiveness in it. John in John 1:29 say “Jesus is the lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world”. Through the gospel, we have or receive God’s power to live anew in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Romans 1:16-17. Also, the gospel is called goodnews because it offers us the promise of eternal life. Glory!
