LIGHT FOR NOW: Faith in Christ is liberty or freedom for all.
Our salvation is through faith in Christ Jesus. The greatest problem of mankind was sin. Therefore, the greatest deliverance that can be ministered to a man is the forgiveness of sins. Sin was never in God’s plan. Sin was strange to God. This is the reason God came to fight sin by himself because sin was never part of His plans for man. If the wages of sin is death according to Romans 6:23, then it would suffice to say that when sin is taken away, death is helpless. Whatever fruits that comes with sin, salvation swallowed them all up. Salvation is a total package. When a believer has faith in the finished work of Christ, everything that will make his life here on earth beautiful is deposited in him. God became a man in order to bear the sins of man so that the sins of man can be remitted.
A believer in Christ does not have a sin problem because sin has been dealt with. The sacrifice of Jesus paid the full price for the sin of man. Christ did not just save us; he keeps us saved. Faith in Christ is liberty or freedom for all. Man is no longer in bondage. Hebrews 2:14-15 buttresses this truth. It reads, “For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage”. Glory!
