LIGHT FOR NOW: To live in Christ is to habituate in glory.
Baptism into Christ and putting on Christ are two different phenomena. Baptism into Christ is like water into water; inseparable oneness. Putting on Christ is living in His new environment. As a believer in Christ, you have been completely immersed in Christ that He has become all that there is to you and seen in you. This is your new reality. Now that you have put on Christ by virtue of new birth, you are in Him and he is in you. 1John 4:13 says, “We dwell in him, and he in us”. Christ is your dwelling place; Christ is your new world. You live in the environment called Christ. To live in Christ is to habituate in glory. Living in Christ is the place to be. The depraved and defeated human life has been supplanted with the very life of God.
The concluding part of 2Corinthians 5:17 says, “Behold, all things have become new”. God wants you to see, think and have this consciousness that you are now in a new environment called Christ where all things about your life is new, excellent and full of glory. Therefore, walk boldly, full of faith and confidence because you are in Christ. Glory!
