IDENTITY DISCOVERY; THE CURE TO IDENTITY CRISIS (5)

Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, – Ephesians 1:15-19

LIGHT FOR NOW: The born again man is not born of the corruptible seed.

As we proceed in this subject, let’s track what gave birth to the born again; what is he born of? Apostle Peter in his epistle echoes an important fact that will be vital in this analysis; he says in chapter one verse 23 of his first epistle, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (1Peter 1:23). Notice what Peter says: He says the born again man is not born of corruptible seed, but of the incorruptible seed, and he explains this incorruptible seed as the word of God that lives and abodes forever. Now, what could Apostle Peter mean by the use of the term corruptible seed? The Amplified translation of this text will bring the answer to the spotlight; it reads, “You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting word of God”. Notice carefully how the Amplified translation presents this text above.

First, it calls being born again regeneration. And then it appears, this regeneration (that is, new birth or to be born again) as not of mortal origin (that is seed or sperm). The new birth which is not of mortal origin as alludes by the Amplified translation is what the King James translation presents as not of corruptible seed. In other words, by saying, “not of corruptible seed” or “not of mortal origin”, it is to explain the fact that the new birth is not natural; it is not of a natural procreation. So your birth as a believer is not natural; your birth is not a product of a natural generation. If you believe and understand the implication of this, then you will not believe that the new creation has a generational problem. The new creation is born not of a natural generation, so why do you trace a generational problem in the natural to a man whose birth is not of the natural? This explanation is coming to the spotlight in subsequent days. Hallelujah!

INSTRUCTION: Know who you are.

PRAYER: The eyes of my understanding are enlightened, in Jesus Name.  Amen.

QUOTE: The born again man is not a product of a natural procreation, neither is he a product of a natural generation.
